Red Landy
This is a Land Rover Defender 110 300TDi, similar to Elise. It has a 2.5L turbo diesel engine generating a 120 horsepowers. In 2008 the Naughtylamplighters drove it all the way to Ven-Zelderheide, Netherlands.
The current modifications made to the standard defender include
- 3 fuel tank with a total capacity is 160L of diesel
- Diff and steering guard
- A lot of dust...
Red Land Rover originates from Mombasa, Kenya. In 2008 the Naughtylamplighters drove it all the way to the Netherlands as a way of "moving house". It was mentioned by a friend we met in Sudan, that 'overlanding' is addictive... So the red landy is being packed a second time for a intercontinental trip!
